JPL is honored to rank #7 on the list of medium-sized businesses on the 2014 Best Places to Work in PA list. A recipient for 13 consecutive years, JPL was recognized with its highest ranking ever last night at the Lancaster County Convention Center.
“We are constantly evolving and improving our agency to attract and retain the most talented strategic, creative and technical team members,” said Human Resources Director Melissa Washington. “This is an award for everyone on staff who makes JPL a great place to work,” she added.
JPL is one of 72 companies selected in the medium-sized category for firms with 25-250 employees. A survey is sent to employers and employees from hundreds of companies in the commonwealth. Using a formula similar to Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work for in America,” the Best Companies Group scores the workplace practices survey along with the employee survey and each candidate firm is given an overall score. JPL is one of only four companies statewide to be honored this many years in a row.
Since 2000, Best Places to Work in Pa has been a celebration of jobs and the employers who provide them. The program is made possible by a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and the Central Penn Business Journal.
